EMICS feature on NOTSTV: Celebrating our first paid Operations Manager and fundraising efforts

In July, the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS) featured LIVE on NOTSTV, to highlight our vital fundraising efforts and celebrate the appointment of Roger Linell as our first paid Operations Manager.

Roger, an ambulance service professional with an impressive 33-year career, shared EMICS’s journey and details of their his fundraising event. “I feel very proud and very honoured to be working with EMICS,” Roger expressed.

During the interview, Roger elaborated on the strategic decision to hire a full-time Operations Manager—a move aimed at providing greater stability and support for the 19 volunteer doctors who form the backbone of EMICS.

A highlight of the TV interview was Roger’s fundraising efforts, particularly his upcoming Inflatable 5k Run on 13 July 2024. This event, set to take place at the Lincolnshire Showground, features 38 inflatable obstacles over a 5-kilometer course.

Roger will be leading a team of 41 participants in this fun and challenging race. “I’ve never done anything like this before,” Roger admitted. “But we’ve got some amazing people doing it with us, and it’s all for a fantastic cause.”

“If anyone wants to support us on the day or donate, it would be greatly appreciated,” Roger said.
