EMICS (East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme) is proud to announce the receipt of a £1,000 donation from Gates Garden Centre, following a highly successful festive fundraising campaign.
The funds were raised through the sale of “Charity Jingle Bells” at Gates’ Garden Centre locations throughout the Christmas season. On January 22nd, Nigel Gates officially presented the cheque, marking another chapter in the long-standing relationship between the garden centre and the local volunteer doctors’ charity.
As a charity that receives no government funding, EMICS relies entirely on the generosity of the community and corporate partners to provide specialist emergency medical care across the region. This donation will go directly toward the maintenance of life-saving equipment and the specialist kits carried by our volunteer doctors.
The “Jingle Bells” initiative saw an overwhelming response from the public, demonstrating the community’s commitment to supporting our frontline volunteer services.
Roger Linnell, EMICS Operations Manager, expressed his gratitude for the continued alliance:
“We are incredibly grateful to Nigel Gates and the entire team at Gates Garden Centre for this generous donation. Their long-term support has been instrumental in helping us keep our doctors and paramedics on the road. It is thanks to the kindness of local businesses like Gates—and their wonderful customers—that we can continue to provide pre-hospital emergency care to those in need across the East Midlands.”
