Stamford XT 41 Club donates £2,850 to fund specialised medical equipment

Three members of Stamford XT 41 Club recently met in Collyweston, North Northamptonshire, to mark the club’s generous donation of £2,850 to the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS). The funds went towards purchasing new, specialised medical equipment bags for the charity’s critical care team.

Paramedic George Duffin, who arrived in one of the EMICS blue-light response cars, accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation. He said:

“It was great to catch up with members from Stamford XT 41 Club. Their generous donation has funded new medical bags for our Critical Care Car, making our equipment easier to handle, more structured in its layout, and quicker to access in an emergency. It has also helped reduce the weight our clinicians carry to the scene.

It was wonderful to hear about the work Stamford XT does supporting local charitable causes, and we hope they’ll consider working with us again.”

Stamford XT 41 Club, a men’s social club made up primarily of former Round Table members, raises funds each year for local charities. Their major fundraising effort comes from organising more than 600 volunteer marshals at the Burghley Horse Trials, one of the region’s biggest annual events.
