The East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS), a charity that supports the local NHS ambulance service, has been awarded a £5,000 grant from The Foyle Foundation. This grant is part of the foundation’s initiative to support small charities operating at grassroots and local community levels.
EMICS, operates in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Rutland, providing advanced medical care to individuals in critical need. The organisation plays a crucial role in delivering rapid, on-scene medical assistance, often in life-threatening situations.
David Ford, Business Manager for EMICS, expressed his gratitude and highlighted the significance of the grant. “This generous grant from The Foyle Foundation will be instrumental in covering some of our operational costs for the next year. It will enable us to maintain our medical equipment, ensure our volunteer doctors are well-supported, and continue providing high-quality emergency care to our community. This grant is most welcome and will help us a great deal. Thank you to The Foyle Foundation.”
The financial support from The Foyle Foundation will help EMICS sustain its vital services, ensuring that advanced medical care remains accessible to those who need it most in the East Midlands region.
